We are incredibly proud to announce that PQShield has been selected as one of the 25 high-impact scaleups shaping the future of the UK’s technology landscape. This will officially be announced by Chancellor Rachel Reeves at 11 Downing Street later today, as she unveils the Tech Nation Future Fifty 2026 cohort.
Being part of this prestigious programme, the UK’s flagship initiative for late-stage tech ventures, is a significant milestone for us. With alumni including 35% of the nation’s unicorns (such as Revolut and Wise), the Future Fifty represents the vanguard of British innovation.
Why This Matters for the Quantum Transition
As we move closer to the era of quantum computing, the “harvest now, decrypt later” threat is no longer a theoretical exercise—it is a boardroom priority. At PQShield, our mission has always been to secure the global technology supply chain by upgrading the world’s encryption to post-quantum standards.
Joining the Future Fifty allows us to accelerate this mission. The programme’s focus on international expansion and peer-to-peer networking comes at a critical time as we continue to deploy our hardware and software IP across the globe—from automotive and mobile to government and critical infrastructure.
A Cohort of Visionaries
We are honored to stand alongside 24 other remarkable companies. This year’s cohort is a testament to the UK’s strength in “DeepTech” and “HardTech.” Whether it’s Universal Quantum building the machines of tomorrow, Salience Labs revolutionizing AI data centers, or Red Sift securing the modern inbox, the collective impact of this group is staggering:
- £1.3B in combined funding raised.
- 2,900+ jobs created.
- 96% of the cohort is expanding internationally.
“The founders in this cohort are ambitious and determined to make their mark on the world. We’re proud to back them with the connections, insight and global exposure they need to scale on their own terms, right here in the UK.” — Carolyn Dawson OBE, CEO of Founders Forum Group
Looking Ahead
The next three months will be a period of intense growth and collaboration. Backed by partners like HSBC Innovation Banking, the Future Fifty will provide us with the platform to engage with global investors, CEOs, and government leaders in tech hubs like Singapore, New York, and Dubai.
For the PQShield team, this recognition reinforces our commitment to making the digital world safe for the quantum age. We aren’t just building products; we are building the new standard for trust in a connected world.
We want to thank Tech Nation, the Founders Forum Group, and our fellow cohort members for this incredible opportunity. The journey to the quantum-secure future is just getting started.
