Reflecting on the months since our seed funding

It’s been three months since we emerged from stealth to announce our seed funding. It was certainly an interesting time to launch, yet at the same time, the global pandemic meant our mission had never felt more relevant.

Over the last few months, it’s amazing to think how many businesses have had to wake up to the importance of information security. Since July, the PQShield team and I have been busy explaining what the quantum threat really looks like, and helping a broad spectrum of companies to prepare for the future with confidence. From financial services to pharma, medical devices to manufacturing, the risk of inaction is all too vivid.

After our funding, we hit the ground running (virtually, of course) at events like TNW, where I joined a panel with RSA’s CTO, Zulfikar Ramzan, to talk about post-quantum cryptography and why governments and security agencies are taking it so seriously.

As the NIST PQC standardisation process moved a step closer, I also spoke to Risk.net,TechRepublicTechHQ and Tech Wire Asia about the future of encryption, and the solutions that businesses can use today to protect themselves from quantum attacks.

We look forward to sharing further updates as we head into the winter.
