Our SCA Analyst / Infrastructure Engineer Dr Niels Samwel recently spoke at a NIST in person workshop on February 27, 2024 – “Enhancing Security of Devices and Components Across the Supply Chain”

The workshop audience comprised of representatives from industry, academia and the government. The goal of the workshop was to discuss cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies for semiconductors during their lifecycle, from design to retirement of a chip. Topics covered included hardware development lifecycle, metrology, hardware/silicon testing, vulnerability management and standards. Each session started with short presentations from each panel member followed by time for questions and answers from the audience. The panel members were typically a mix of academia, industry and government representatives. The workshop highlighted some very interesting discussions around security during the lifecycle of semiconductors.

It was a pleasure being invited to speak and we look forward to the next NIST event.
