Strong Authentication
Strong user authentication is a critical requirement for a number of scenarios. For example, in healthcare systems, embedded networks need to be focused on protecting user information. Finance, corporate databases, government services, and military defense systems are all examples where the hardware itself needs to be designed to protect personal identifiable information. This is often done by providing a user with a hardware security key – such as a smart card or authenticating device, and can be costly. Additionally, these devices could easily be vulnerable to a side channel attack if left unattended, intercepted, discovered, or stolen.
PQPlatform-Lattice
PQPlatform-Lattice is an ideal building block for building an ASIC that targets the ‘strong user authentication’ use case. It adds side-channel protected PQC to devices, and with a relatively small footprint, can add the power of lattice-based post-quantum cryptography to devices or authentication mechanisms.
