We’re thrilled to announce that our talented colleague Guilhem Niot has been awarded the prestigious Kudelski Award from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) for his outstanding Master’s thesis project he conducted at PQShield.
This award is given once a year to a Master student who significantly contributed to the fields of cryptography and information systems security.
Guilhem joined us in 2023 as an intern, and aimed to design a novel post-quantum signature protocol with increased security guarantees under the supervision of Thomas Espitau (PQShield), as well as Mehdi Tibouchi (NTT Corporation, Japan). He managed to achieve this goal within just a few months, and they subsequently submitted a standard proposal to the NIST call for Additional Digital Signature schemes.
The Kudelski Award recognizes the significance of this work, and we are very proud of Guilhem’s achievement.
Guilhem is now a Cryptography Researcher at PQShield, and remains dedicated to advancing the field of cryptography within our talented Research Team. Their contributions to our company and the broader scientific community are invaluable.
