Abstract
In this video, Ben Packman, PQShield’s Chief Strategy Officer talks with our Senior Product Manager, Michele Sartori about some of the key differences between open-source and closed-source solutions for post-quantum cryptography. While both can co-exist, there is a choice to be made, and here Michele and Ben discuss the advantages of each, based on implementation, customizability, support, certification, and a number of other key considerations. While commercial solutions are more expensive up front, it’s important to ask whether an open-source project might incur costs later. How will it be implemented? What would be securely supported, updated and maintained, and by whom? When it comes to compliance with regulations, it’s critical to choose the best solution for your environment today, ensuring a smooth transition to the world of tomorrow…
